I didn’t know so many cities in our vast world are layered in catacombs of mystery.  I knew about the Valley of the Kings as you no doubt do where Egypt mumified her royalty and buried them where they hoped no one would ever disturb their rest.

Despite their intentions, television proves no one seems protected from the errant graveyard bandit no matter who you were in life.

When the history channel introduced me to Ivan The Terrible and his lost love Anastasia, a whole new world opened up as the search for his library collection – considered the finest in the world, continues beneath Moscow in unravelling miles of catacombs and tunnels.  One thing has been proven so many centuries hence, Anastasia was murdered.  Perhaps poor Ivan now knows some peace from the frantic political times that drove him to do the things he did.

What is the tie in here with webmasters?

They exist out there. Terrible personalities who do not share their knowledge but bury their clients beneath tons of rubble in making sure they never gain control.

Traffic & Leads Generation Part I

Capture Leads When They Are Searching

The first question may be thought without thinking … ‘How do you know when they are searching?”

That one is obvious. Everyone is searching for something  even when they do not consciously realize they are looking.  Just surfing the net puts you in the many facets of searching modes.

Put the thinking caps on to remove the objections you have before you start.

  1. What are you promoting?
  2. Is either more important – owner or affiliate?
  3. In need of Affiliates to move product/service
  4. In need of MLM leaders

Every  offline business is sending prospects on line to make informed and final purchase decisions. Thus no product or service is ever without a hungry market of interested searching prospects.

Cold Calling

For  off line businesses coming online, use your company phone to cold call looking for prospects to view your web site.

For businesses that exist both off line and online, again use the company phone or company name to encourage the people you call to visit the company/your website.

In both of these cases, for people who hate cold calling, read these two strategies again. You are NOT selling.  You are NOT putting your new person in any sort of jeopardy.

You are simply asking them to view a particular web site, whether it is yours or the company website.   Giving out value informaton that they may or may not choose to follow is NOT selling.

You become a live support person who can answer the questions they have that could stop them from ever considering your business as their search solution.

Because this strategy is so simple to implement, many companies choose to automate their calls which can become extremely annoying to the receiver.  The calls come at supper time, there is no live person to answer questions and in many cases the worst offence becomes, ‘congratulatations, you have
won …‘ where they need you to punch in a number to talk to a live person, IF they allow the message to get that far.

AVOID the automating annoyances this kind of call can create.

Stick to the simplicity of “ Hello my name is xxxxx , I am not selling nor do I need any particular information from you for my company xyz. All that I wish to accomplish on this call is to give you a website address that may just have the solutions you are searching for. The link is
http://www.mycompany.com/name.html”

Make sure your company name is self explanatory or give it no more than five to six forward thinking words called a Unique Selling Position that is self explanatory.

That is the whole conversation, not necessarily given out all at once. It depends on the receiver and their comfort in wanting to ask you questions.

Ya Dirty Crook- you made me read!

Oh my, do I owe you an apology too?  My better half Chris was so excited to receive a mail that said he earned a commisison.

Wow, the excitement and the big wide smile!  Then the first sentence comes to fore and his faced dropped. That was mean was his remark.

However, several valid points were made with that subject line.

  1. you need a commission badly
  2. such lines have greater appeal
  3. you opened the mail.

All three are darned good reasons for you to use similar headers, let you know your people need commissions and most importantly, to get you to read your mail.

Not every mail is a waste of your good business time. When good actions like reading your mail are allowed to back slide, then so do your business skills and your chances for those needed commisisons.

Do you suppose if you read the mail that surrounds your business dealings and left the one-shot big dollar crapola for last, you would be less likely to get sucked into bad deals?

Do You Learn Marketing Lessons The Hard Way?

To succeed you must watch out for much and adhere to little, very carefully sifted.

What makes it so hard is often the good is couched in hype and you end up passing it off, walking head first, eyes wide open into the biggest mess of your online career.

Things like …

The money is in the list. You miss out because you are blind-sided by having joined ‘company b’ first and learning this sad piece of news last.

You are not an island.  Team efforts end up great copy.  They sure can make it all sound so wonderful getting team help.  Team means commitment and that means everyone pulls their equal weight. Yep. And pigs fly huh?  The power of many still begins with earning your way.

Buy  our offer of unending traffic – we send thousands to see your site. Couple of missing points here.  They did not say the traffic was targeted to your needs.  Nor did they promise a larger than normal sign up rate than you could have received on your own merits.

So what is the answer?  All of the above are must haves if you are to even taste success online for any period of time.

The idea of breaking down mountainous needs into attainable goals or steps is part and parcel of understanding your own success ratio.

This process is better served when you do not miss or leave out an important. Makes you wonder when the common thread is ‘Do this in 6 easy steps’, or ‘Build this in 8 steps that grow your business‘ , or ‘10 more reasons to do this or that Which one is the real answer and are any of them close to the truth of working?

List Building Mountains

List building becomes the moment of confusion when faced with so many daily check lists or business lists or who knows what kind of list.

Of all the kinds of lists, only two need concern you now.  Once you begin to focus on these two lists, the need for more types of lists will become a natural  progression.

Your first list, is a daily check list that provides you with a guideline as to how to spend the time you have online in a productive manner.

Making a list of all the activities you must do, need to do and want to do becomes a part of this daily check list.

Mountains of Wasted Time

In this case, you will have to sort out for yourself the advice as to what time you spend in your  mail, what values you perceive from your mail and what results you get from the time spent in it.  Overall, unorganized time spent in mail accounts is the number one time waster for most marketers.

The second list is perhaps the most important list of your marketing career.  It can make you or break you. No matter if you have a business or no clue what business you might like to have; and that includes products or any digital marketing idea, you must always be building your own  personal contact list.

In the what comes first, the business or the list, the list wins hands down every every time.  Why? because most marketers begin their business development from the wrong end.

By choosing a product you think will sell then trying to find the target market  of buyers, you are taking the long road home.

By building your list FIRST, you have created a target market that will tell you what they are looking for. This way, your job is half done.  All you have to do is provide the solution in the product they already told you is what they want.

Perhaps the biggest mountain to crack, will be all the false information that you have had to work through, or incomplete teachings or only partial instructions in any subject of interest that might have made your journey easier if tought properly.

Are you watching the stats as listed on the margins when you sign in? 10k members can visually see the text and banners in use. Then again all you have to do is check your own stats. Are you on overload with credits and text impressions? You won’t garner conversions when they sit there gathering dust. Might better use them.

Have you seen your name on the suspended list? Or some of your down line are sitting in that position? All they have to do is surf to become activated. You do not earn credits from your downline if your account is inactive/suspended. Nor do you earn commissions. If you have the right to mail your downline members, it might be a good idea to remind them of this and to get active.
